It’s been an immensely epic journey so far for female rock duo REWS and this week we are absolutely delighted to let you know that their track ‘YOUR TEARS’ ( taken from their debut album PYRO – out now ) has been added to the BBC RADIO 1 daytime playlist as BBC MUSIC INTRODUCING TRACK OF THE WEEK on BBC Radio 1! (Playlist Issue : FEB 9th 2018)
You’ll be hearing the track ‘Your Tears’ for a full week on daytime BBC RADIO 1 on huge shows such as Alice Levine, Clara Amfo, Scott Mills, Dev, Adele and Greg James! Starting with the wonderful Alice Levine this Saturday Feb 10th from 1pm….
Shauna and Collette (aka REWS) started off by uploading a few of their early singles to the BBC Introducing uploader. From there, REWS received lots of airplay from their regional champions at BBC Introducing In London/Across The Line Northern Ireland/Wales, eventually moving up to support from Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq, Mark Radcliffe and many more. They also landed massive shows including the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury Festival where they blew everyone away. The duo eventually signed a record deal with Marshall Records ( home of the iconic amp brand ) and put out their critically acclaimed debut record PYRO which is out now!
BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq say REWS are “brilliant live!” – and BBC 6 Music’s Mark Radcliffe says REWS are “STUPENDOUS live – like a female Royal Blood…”
Tune to BBC Radio 1 this Saturday 10th February from 1pm with Alice Levine for the first ever daytime airing of REWS on Radio 1.
